About
About the ledger
The Travel Partner Ledger tracks brand partnership news for US airlines: Delta, United, American, Southwest, JetBlue, Alaska and Hawaiian, Frontier, Spirit, Allegiant, Sun Country and Breeze.
The feed is built from Google News search results. A story is listed only when the headline or summary names one of those airlines, names a non-airline brand, and talks about a partnership, such as a co-brand card, a miles or points tie-in, a codeshare or a sponsorship. Airline-to-airline deals (alliances, codeshares, joint ventures) aren't included for now, and stories about crashes, strikes, lawsuits or earnings are left out. Every item links to the publisher, and times are shown in Eastern Time.
Items tagged Deal talk cover acquisitions, mergers and takeover talk among large brands in the categories airlines partner with: delivery and grocery, rideshare, retail and coffee, streaming and media, hotels, car rental, payments and cards, and travel booking. They're listed whether or not the brand has a US airline partner yet, with a line saying which airlines it works with today. Anything that isn't a signed or completed deal is marked "Reported, not confirmed".
The weekly newsletter, Travel Partnership Moves, rounds up the biggest of these stories.
